This patch adds some missing newlines, trims some multiple redundant final newlines into a single one, and trims few redundant leading newlines. According to POSIX, a line is a sequence of zero or more non-'<newline>' characters plus a terminating '<newline>' character. [1] Files should normally have at least one final newline character. C89 [2] and later standards [3] mention a final newline: "A source file that is not empty shall end in a new-line character, which shall not be immediately preceded by a backslash character." Although it is not mandatory for all files to have a final newline fixed, a more consistent and homogeneous approach brings less of commit differences issues and a better development experience in certain text editors and IDEs. Local development
This is the git repo for the official www.php.net website.
To setup a local mirror of the website:
$ git clone https://github.com/php/web-php.git
$ cd web-php
$ php -S localhost:8080 .router.php
This repo includes most (generated) files that are required for normal operation of this website, such as
- News & events data
- Several manual pages (and a translation), see manual/{en,ja}/
- User contributed notes for manual pages
- A "router" for the builtin PHP webserver

Code requirements
Code must function on a vanilla PHP 5.3 installation as some php.net mirrors still run PHP 5.3. Please keep this in mind before filing a pull request.
