Anatol Belski 2f606dc5e8 Guard against AppVeyor losing deps issue 
Possibly due to concurrent build cache updates or some changes in
the remote image. Some locking mechanism still could be required.

The stack allocated color map buffers were not zeroed before usage, and
so undefined palette indexes could cause information leakage.
