This issue is properly fixed by GH-7121 on master. For older
branches, disable the use of range information in SCCP, to
reduce impact of potentially incorrect ranges.
Make sure that the previous opline is part of the same block,
otherwise it may be non-dominating.
The test case does not fail on PHP-7.4, but I think the general
problem can appear on 7.4 as well, so I'm applying the patch to
that branch.
When encountering the following SSA graph:
BB1:
#2.T1 [string] = COALESCE #1.CV0($str) [null, string] BB2
BB2:
#5.T1 [string] = QM_ASSIGN string("")
BB3:
#7.X1 [string] = Phi(#2.X1 [string], #5.X1 [string])
FREE #7.T1 [string]
We would currently determine that #7, #5 are dead, and eliminate
the FREE and QM_ASSIGN. However, we cannot eliminate #2, as
COALESCE is also responsible for control flow.
Fix this my marking all non-CV phis as live to start with. This
can be relaxed to check the kind of the source instruction, but
I couldn't immediately come up with a case where it would be
useful.
If there is a previous use of the new variable in the phi, we need
to NULL out the use chain of the new source we're adding.
Test case is reduced from an assertion failure in the Symfony Demo.
This cherry-picks 33969c2252 and
2effbfd871 from PHP-8.0.
The issues these commits fix could also manifest in PHP 7.4, and
a commenter on bug #80307 reports this this might indeed be
happening.
We should use normal function renaming if the function is declared
during preloading itself, rather than afterwards.
This fixes a regression introduced by
68f80be9d1.
Due to ASLR restrictions, preloading on Windows does not work with
any code that has preloading dependencies on internal classes.
This effectively makes it unusable for any non-trivial codebase.
Instead of pretending like preloading is going to work, only to
make people realize that it really doesn't once they get beyond
a dummy example, we disable support for preloading on Windows
entirely.
Closes GH-4999.
We need to make sure that trait methods with static variables
allocate a separate MAP slot for the static variables pointer,
rather than working in-place.
GCC complained about potentially uninitialized __orig_bailout,
even though the variable has an initializer. This warning was
quite persistent, I was only able to avoid it by using a separate
function.
Am I missing something?
During preloading, check that all classes that have been included
as part of the preload script itself (rather than through opcache_compile_file)
can actually be preloaded, i.e. satisfy Windows restrictions, have
resolved initializers and resolved property types. When resolving
initializers and property types, also autoload additional classes.
Because of this, the resolution runs in a loop.
And `$x = !$x`
Noticed while working on GH-4912
The included test would not emit undefined variable errors in php 8.0
with opcache enabled. The command used:

instanceof_function() requires linked classes. I'm not reusing
unlinked_instanceof() here, because it performs class loading,
which wouldn't be right here, I think.
