fix typecasting errors, especially for new constants. Don't assume long and int are the same size, as on 64bit architectures, they are normally not

- changed 'double' to 'float'
- changed 'int' to 'resource' where appropriate
- format change: proto has to be on a single line and description
on the very next one, some tools still rely on this
