When system is detected as big endian this enables the TSRM Local
Storage static cache with the ZEND_ENABLE_STATIC_TSRMLS_CACHE
compilation flag. Previously it was enabled only on little endian
systems.
The 3rd argument of the PHP_NEW_EXTENSION can be "shared" or "yes" to
mark the extension as shared, or anything else to mark that extension as
not shared. This syncs the argument values across the build system to be
"no" as in other always-enabled extensions.
When building in out-of-source directory, instead of creating these
build directories right away, this appends them to the list and creates
them at the end of configure phase. These don't need to be created
immediately as no files are generated in these extensions before the
configure phase is finished.
Also, the PHP_ADD_BUILD_DIR is moved after the PHP_NEW_EXTENSION when
the more common $ext_builddir variable is available (the ext/<extension>
isn't available when building with phpize).
Older GCC versions (< 7.0) don't support the -Wno-implicit-fallthrough
compiler flag. This adds the flag conditionally in case some other
compiler will run into same issue.
Fixes GH-13330
This is a sync of the https://github.com/php/php-src/pull/6252 after few
years:
- ext/date: pending recheck in GH-14187
- ext/hash: warning happens only on 32-bit build in
ext/hash/sha3/generic32lc/KeccakP-1600-inplace32BI.c
- ext/opcache: IR JIT doesn't seem to have this issue
- ext/pcre remains disabled due to pcre2lib/sljit/sljitNativeARM_64.c
(should be rechecked and fixed upstream)
This syncs the installed sapi and extension headers on *nix and Windows
systems by installing only what is intended outside of php-src.
- ext/gd: without gd_arginfo.h and gd_compat.h
- ext/hash: php_hash_joaat.h and php_hash_fnv.h added also on Windows
installation; xxhash/xxhash.h added on both installations as it is
included in php_hash_xxhash.h; Include path for xxhash.h changed to
relative so the php_hash_xxhash.h can be included outside of php-src;
Redundant include flags removed
- ext/iconv: without iconv_arginfo.h
- ext/mysqli: mysqli_mysqlnd.h was missing on Windows
- ext/phar: php_phar.h was missing on Windows
- ext/sodium: php_libsodium.h was missing on *nix
- ext/xml: without xml_arginfo.h
- sapi/cli: cli.h was missing on Windows
Closes GH-13210
Closes GH-13213
The implementation bundles the xxHash v0.8.0 release and includes all the variants
- xxh32, 32-bit wide
- xxh64, 64-bit wide
- xxh3, 64-bit wide
- xxh128, 128-bit wide
An initial hash state can be passed through the options arrray. An additional
functionality not targeted in this implementation is the secret support in xxh3
and xxh128. That can be added at a later point.
The serialization for xxh3 and xxh128 should not be implemented, as the
state would contain the secret. Despite the xxHash is a non crypto
algorithm, the secret would be serialized as plain text which would be
insecure.

The implementation is based on the upstream PMurHash. The following
variants are implemented
- murmur3a, 32-bit hash
- murmur3c, 128-bit hash for x86
- murmur3f, 128-bit hash for x64
The custom seed support is not targeted by this implementation. It will
need a major change to the API, so then custom arguments can be passed
through `hash_init`. For now, the starting hash is always zero.

The hash extension is always available since PHP-7.4. The symbol
HAVE_HASH_EXT is kept for BC reasons and removed in PHP-8.0.
This patch also removes the PHAR_HASH_OK since it is no longer
relevant.
Normalization include:
- Use dnl for everything that can be ommitted when configure is built in
favor of the shell comment character # which is visible in the output.
- Line length normalized to 80 columns
- Dots for most of the one line sentences
- Macro definitions include similar pattern header comments now
- AC_CHECK_SIZEOF is now called mostly only in PHP_CHECK_STDINT_TYPES()
macro except for some parts checking for the 32 or 64 bit architecture.
- SIZEOF_CHAR removed since it is always 1
- ZEND_BIN_ID is now of a more logical pattern `BIN_48888` on 64bit
architectures and `BIN_44444` on 32bit instead of literal string
`BIN_SIZEOF_CHAR48888` on 64bit and `BIN_SIZEOF_CHAR44444` on 32bit.
The unneeded SIZEOF_CHAR part has been removed.
- XMLRPC_TYPE_CHECKS removed
- The `long long int` is the same as `long long` and redundant checks
removed accordingly.
- Removed PHP_CHECK_64BIT macro. Checking if current platform is 64bit
or not can be also done simply by using a check of the long type on
place. This removes redundant m4 macro PHP_CHECK_64BIT.
The $Id$ keywords were used in Subversion where they can be substituted
with filename, last revision number change, last changed date, and last
user who changed it.
In Git this functionality is different and can be done with Git attribute
ident. These need to be defined manually for each file in the
.gitattributes file and are afterwards replaced with 40-character
hexadecimal blob object name which is based only on the particular file
contents.
This patch simplifies handling of $Id$ keywords by removing them since
they are not used anymore.
Fix hash_copy() tests by using correct size for sha3 context
sync config.w32 with with new sha3 files
Move dependency on KeccakHash.h to hash_sha3.c so we do not rely on it to install php_hash_sha3.h
Allocate memory for KeccacInstance in hash_sha3.c so header files do not need to know about implementation details while keeping API backward compatible to original sha3 implementation
Fix memory leak because hash_copy is called after init which already allocates the hashinstance
