Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

I have a situation where I needed a custom persister to handle some non-portable insert statements etc. This is what I did to make it work. Not sure if you require any additional code/comments or anything to have it merged.
